About the event

Join us to create change.

We invite individuals, community members, healthcare professionals, and anyone interested in supporting the LGBT+ community to join us in engaging discussions and interactive sessions. Together, let’s build a supportive network and contribute to suicide prevention within the LGBT+ community.

Attendees will gain insight into the mental health challenges faced by the LGBT+ community at large and will discuss the significant role of community resources and strategies for accessing them. This event will help attendees recognise signs of mental health crises and equip them with some of the strategies to deal with them. Moreover, it aims to build connections within the community for ongoing support and shared knowledge.

Agenda of the Evening:

5:00 pm - Registration and Welcome

5:30 pm - Suicide Awareness Workshop: A presentation featuring key statistics, signs of suicidal thoughts, immediate response strategies, and resources available for those in need.

6:00 pm - Q&A Session: An interactive segment where attendees can seek clarification and delve deeper into the topics discussed.

6:30pm - Networking & Community Building: ‘Mind Mingle Networking’ will provide a platform for each group to discuss and answer key questions, aimed at identifying gaps in current services and understanding the unique needs of the community.
